Park isn't a left back. That's PSV's other Korean, Lee Young Pyo. Park is an attacking midfielder. The only reason people were surprised by Lee and Park's success is that there's so little interest in Asian football. Guus Hiddink knew how good they were. Seol Ki Hyeon at Wolves is another one who should be playing a division up. These guys are skilled, fit and dedicated. No bad attitudes. United would do well to sign any of them.

박지성은 레프트백이 아냐. 그건 PSV에 또다른 한국선수지. 이영표라구 있어. 영표&지성의 성공에 사람들이 놀라는 이유는 아시아 축구에 관심이 없기때문이지. 하지만 히딩크는 그들의 능력을 알고있었어. 지금 울브즈에서 뛰는 설기현이라는 또다른 한국선수 역시 프리미어에서 플레이할만한 선수지. 이 선수들은 모두 기술이 좋고 헌신적인 선수들이야. 이기적인 태도같은건 없지. 맨유는 이들중 누구라도 붙잡는게 좋을거야.

Park is not a defender or even a defensive midfielder he is a winger more in the mould of Cristiano Ronaldo. He has scored 9 goals in 41 games for PSV this season and at 3 mil would be a bargain. Some people need to stop dreaming united have never had the money to go out and buy 3 players who would all cost over 20 mil each (Adriano, Casillas, Essien) in one pre-season. So what makes you think they can do it now the american is taking over. I thought he was taking us into debt.

박지성은 수비수나 수비형미들이 아니라 지금 C로날도랑 비슷한 윙어야. 올시즌에 PSV 41게임에서 9골을 넣었지. 3M이면 바겐세일이라고 봐. 자꾸 20M넘어가는 놈들 (아드리아누, 카시아스, 에시앙)을 영입하자고 망상하는 사람들 있는데 꿈깨라. 지금 저 양키놈이 경영권을 쥐고있는 상황에서 도대체 어떻게 우리가 저런 빅딜을 할수있을거라고 보는거야?

DSA, whether it's true or not just the suggestion of it is enough to make me happy. Park sounds like a business move, still if he can reproduce his CL form he's got to be better than a lot of our midfielders. An Indonesian United fan mentioned on here a youngster a while ago, Boaz Solossa (I think) and I saw him mentioned in a write up of an Indonesian international. Apparently he played brilliantly and scored, must be worth a try with all those potential fans.

i think we should sell saha, bellion, kleberson, phill neville and buy, ADRIANO, a world class player who is a brazialian striker for those who have not yet heard of him, also we should get cassilas from madrid, he may be short but he still has no trouble getting to high balls because of his reflexes. In midfield we should get essien from under chelsea's noses. then we would have cassilas(gk), g. neville(rb), ferdinand(cb) (who will sign), silvestre (cb), heinze (lb), ronaldo (rm), essien (def m), rooney (att mid), rvn and adriano (strikers). This is our treble winning team of the future!

to : united fan, mars. you think too much, & u need to get right back down to earth. chelsea can go buy whoever they want but i dont think united needs another striker, especially not adriano. hes a quality player no doubt but no. we dun have the money. as for essien i think chelsea would wanna compete with us all the way. & with gerrard comfirmed staying with LFC, i guess chelsea would put all their money on essien. now about park. i've seen him in during the CL match with Milan. somehow i get the feeling that he might just be the player fergie needs. althou our main target now is to find a central midfielder, having park on our team adds another dimension to our team. look if we really cant get our central midfielder, maybe we can still have keane & scholes on the center & haf ronaldo & park on the wings. with experience in center & speed & energy on the wings we might do just better. of coz giggs can still come off the bench for a couple of games. & ole's comming back too. =)

어이 화성맨 봐봐. 너 생각이 너무 많다. 걍 지구로 돌아와라. 첼시는 지금 돈이 허벌 많아서 뭐 맘만 먹으면 누구든 사올수 있지. 하지만 우린 더이상 스트라이커가 필요하지않아. 아드리아누라면 더더욱 필요없어. 걔 잘하지 물론. 하지만 우린 걔 사올 돈이 없단말이여. 에시앙같은 경우도 첼시가 아마 포기안할걸? 제라드는 리버풀에 남는게 확실한만큼 첼시는 아마 에시앙 잡는데 돈 엄청 쓸거샤. 이제 박지성에 대해 얘기해보자. 밀란-PSV를 쭉 지켜봤는데, 난 그거보면서 박지성이 딱 퍼거슨이 원하는 스타일의 선수라는 느낌을 받았어. 물론 지금 우리가 가장 필요로하는 선수는 중앙미들이지만 만일 우리가 지성을 잡게된다면 우리팀에는 또다른 차원의 포지셔닝이 가능해지거든? 만일 우리가 끝내 마땅한 중앙미들을 못찾더래도 우리는 킨이랑 스콜스를 여전히 센터에 쓸수있고 로날도랑 박지성을 양윙으로 쓸수 있거든. 중앙에는 경험많은 선수가 있고 양윙에는 스피드와 에너지 넘치는 선수들이 있다면 우리는 훨씬 나은 팀이될거야. 물론 긱스도 여전히 출장가능하고 솔샤르도 곧 돌아오지.

Im not completely sure about the abilities of Park ji Sung, but judging from what I saw from the two-legged david v Goliath encounter between Psv and Milan, I wld say MU has got it right. The purchase of Park has many attrs, not least his on-pitch capabilities. Agst Milan, Park was a menace, tormenting the milan defence to shreds. An suitable ambassador for Energiser, park is skillful, typically asianly determined and likes to play the 1-2s. The milan defence was practically had to foul him just to stop him in his tracks. Apart frm his abilities, practicallyhis purchase is relatively at a bargain of 3m. He is prob gonna be more effective than giggs and def has comercial potential in the asian markets. Im for getting Park.

박지성이라는 선수의 능력에대해서 아직 뭐라고 확실히 말할수는 없지만 적어도 내가 본 밀란과 PSV의 다윗대골리앗 매치 두경기를 통해 판단하자면, 맨유는 지금 현명한 판단을 하고있는거다. 박지성영입은 여러가지면에서 매력적이지만 특히 한창 물이오른 그의 기량자체가 가장 탐나. 밀란을 상대로 박지성은 정말 위협적이었고, 밀란 수비진을 초토화시켰었지. 에너자이저 건전지 홍보대사로 딱어울리는 체력에 기술도 좋고 아시아선수 특유의 정신력을 가졌고 2대1플레이를 즐기지. 밀란 수비는 박지성을 저지하기위해 계속 반칙으로 끊어야했어. 그의 이런 능력을 논외로하더라도 3m면 통상적으로 싼가격이잖아?. 박지성은 모르긴몰라도 긱스보다 효율적인 선수가 될수도있고..또 아시아마켓에서의 경제적 이윤도 따라올수 있을거야. 난 박지성 영입을 지지한다.
Yes, it's for purely football reasons we'd like to sign him. Nothing to do with capitalising on the BE THE REDS slogan that everyone wore in 2002. My god, we've had two pretty poor seasons on the trot and we're still trying to sign marketing tools. We may sign him, and he looked pretty good in the CL, but he'd never play regularly. where would you play him?

If i hadn't watched him play in the champions league this year would have said this is just a marketing excercise.But his workrate was phenominal and was part of a team that played Milan of the pitch;his part in that was substantial;if its true and the price is right why not?

I have watched Park play on SkyTv many times and he is an excellent player, coming into the attack from midfield. He is not as strong defensively as Keane, but a better forward support player. He can also score goals. I think he would be an excellent buy BUT he needs to be played. United cannot afford (literally now)another Djemba Miller or Kleberson

스카이tv로 박지성의 플레이를 여러번봤는데, 진짜 죽이는 선수라구. 미드필드에서부터 매우 공격적으로 돌진하는 선수지. 로이킨보다 수비력은 떨어져도 포워드 지원력에서는 앞선다고봐. 득점력도 있고말이야. 난 이게 정말 죽이는 영입이라고 생각하지만 일단 영입하면 중요한건 출전시켜야해한다는거야. 더이상 맨유는 젬바나 클레베르손같은 쓰지도않을 선수를 사들일만들 여력이 없다구.
Park, could be the best choice for the reds. I have seen him play since 2002 world-cup, he is kind of prodigy type of player who rules the game. Remember the games that he played...ac millan vs psv.... korea vs portugal in world cup 2002... HE RULED THE GAME!! This Park lad from what i've seen is lightning fast, with 2 good feet & chips in with 9 or 10 goals a season. For 3 million its worth a gamble. As for people saying its only a marketing ploy to break the asian market-so what? If you haven't noticed we're in a bucketload of debt & need every last penny we can get. Unlike our last 2 marketing moves though ( Fortune & Dong ), Park is the finished article & has been performing in Europe & internationally for over 4 years now

This is a great player. I've seen him on several ocations, and he's impressed me many times. He has great pace, can tackle, and is a pain in the neck for most opponents. And he's cheap! Another player to look out for is the new norwegian midfielder Kristoffer Haestad. He's not tall, but with great physic and fast legs. A he tackles like you wish you have never meet him. If you blink for a 10th of a second, he will be there with a tackle. I think he will suit fine in England. He's just made his full international debut, and are playing tomorrow for Norway against Italy. A great prospect! If anyone of you remember, I spoke very highly of Morten Gamst Pedersen, and he's done his job at Blackburn!!! By the way... in the Mikel case there have been little news, but one is that a 3rd!!! Agent has made a claim that he represent Mikel, poor boy! Have a great Red summer, lets get some new boys that bleads for UNITED, and lets kick Glazers butt out of UNITED!

현명한 선택이다. 이넘은 심장 두개가진 사자같은 선수다. 90분 또는 그이상을 뛰고도 절대 지치는 법이 없다. 밀란전 골도 끝내줬지.. 무조건 잡아라. 아시아마켓을 위해서가 아니라, 그의 능력을 잡으라는 얘기다.

Park has become a great player under Hiddink as he was during the 2002 WC. No one knows how he's going to perform without Hiddink, especially in the hands of the not so tactical (personality-wise) Fergie. Besides that the 3 million offer is (as usual with United, who also tried to get Robben for nearly free and where does he play now?) a joke!

박지성은 2002월드컵 기간중에 히딩크 밑에서 컸다. 걔가 히딩크없이, 특히 현명하긴해도 뭐 그다지 전술운용을 중요시하는 감독이 아닌 퍼거슨 밑에서 얼마나 잘할지는 의문이지. 뭐 어찌됐건 3M라는건 말도안되는 소리야. 니들 로벤도 거의 날로 먹으려고했었지? 로벤이 지금 어디서 뛰고있지??
(*주 : 역시 아인트호벤 팬의 의견은 속이 좀 보이는군요. 뭐 좋게말하면 박지성을 주기 싫어서일테지만.. 히딩크없이 잘할지 의문이라는건 좀..)
I thought Park was great in champions league and would be a great signing. To all those who doubt his ability as previously mentioned his 10 goals from midfield, his incredible engine. That isn't all, according to opta he made the 4th most tackles in Europe with highest percentage of successes. I know cynics will say it a PR thing but really rate this guy and hope we get him. Id pay up to 7million for him 3mill is a bargain.

CL 보면서 박지성이 대단한 선수라고 생각했는데, 영입할수있다면 진짜 좋겠다. 앞서 다른넘들이 말한 뭐 미드필드포지션에서 뛰고도 10골이라든가, 엄청난 엔진이라든가 하는 능력에 대해서 회의가 드는 넘들도 있는 모양인데 덧붙히자면 옵타(*주: 영국의 축구통계전문회사죠)에 의하면 박지성은 유럽전체에서 4번째로 많은 태클을 시도했고 성공확률은 가장 높았댄다. (*주 : 근데 이건 뭔가 잘못된 얘기같죠? 영표 얘기도 아닌거같고..흠흠) 뭐 삐딱하게 보는 넘들은 박지성을 클럽홍보용일뿐이라고 할테지만 난 이넘의 진가를 높이 평가하니만큼 꼭 잡았으면 한다. 나라면 7M까지도 지불하고 데려오겠다. 3M은 떠리야 떠리...
van bommel was my first pick to solve keano successor .. Manu didn't even make a bid!!! Someone that would cost nothing. Park would make a good addition with his price seemingly cheap. But, since barca got bommel, is there any chance of getting Xavi out of barca???

로이킨 후계자로는 내경우엔 반봄멜을 영순위로 생각했는데.... 맨유는 이적료 한푼 안드는 봄멜을 낚아볼 생각조차 안하더군.. 박지성도 그 헐값으로 치면 좋은 영입이 될테지만.. 일단 바르샤가 봄멜 데려갔으니, 우리가 바르샤로부터 사비를 데려올 가능성은 없는거야?
eevn though Park seems like a good buy, the 'real world' of football (England) is different from rural Eindhoven. Hiddink has been the perfect coach for this Korean (and the other, Lee). Comparing Hiddink's coaching style to Ferguson's, i believe Park will be crawling back to Holland or Korea before the season starts! Don't get me wrong, he's a n amazing player, who would do really well as a WINGER at Man U, but mentally he's a big question mark. At Feyenoord, another Korean played, named Song. He also was one of the stars the 2002 WC, who came to Holland. After three seasons in Rotterdam he failed miserably. because he couldn't handkle the pressure and different culture. The only positive thing could be, that Ji Sung Park is used to the western world by now and Hiddink and PSV have prepared him enough for the big bad world of football.

박지성 영입은 현명한 일이긴해도, "진정 고수의 무림"인 잉글랜드는 촌스런 아인트호벤과는 다르지.. 히딩크는 박지성과 이영표에게 있어 완벽한 코치였지. 그런 히딩크와 비교했을때 퍼거슨같은 스타일이라면,,, 글쎄 난 박지성이 새시즌이 시작하기도전에 네덜란드나 한국으로 다시 기어돌아올것이라 본다.. 아 오해하진말라구, 박지성은 대단한 선수야. 맨유에서 윙어로서 정말 잘해낼만한 능력을 가졌지. 하지만 그의 정신적인 측면에 대해서는 의문이란 얘기지.. 페예노르트에 또다른 한국선수 송종국이 뛴적이 있거든? 한국팀의 2002월드컵 성공의 또다른 주역이었던 넘인데 페예노르트 와서 3년만에 처참한 실패만 맛보고 돌아갔어. 심리적압박과 문화차이를 극복하지 못한거지.. 뭐 긍정적으로 보자면.. 그래도 박지성은 이제는 서구문화에 어느정도 익숙해져있고 또 히딩크와 PSV가 이친구를 이 험난한 바닥에서 살아남도록 잘 단련시켰으니까..
(*주 : 위에도 네덜란드 녀석이 하나 있었지만, 정말 이자식들 맘에 안드는군요. 한국선수들을 애취급하면서 순전히 히딩크와 PSV가 키워냈다고 단정을 지어버리는군요. 마치 히딩크 손에서 벗어나면 아무것도 못할것처럼 얘기하네요.. 송종국에 대해서 지멋대로 실패원인을 씨부리는것도 재수없고.. 암튼 히딩크와의 의리를 생각해서 PSV에 1,2년더 남기를 바라는 맘이 생기다가도 이런 자식들보면 그런 맘 싹가시는군요.. 냄비자식들.. 불과 일년전까지만해도 개야유 퍼붓던것들이..)
I bet Chelsea and Arsenal will be shaking in their boots if we pull this one off. Its beginning to remind me of the old days when we used to buy the likes of Ralph Milne -- although we could lump in djemba-djemba, fortune, kleberson, bellion for more recent examples. I'm happy to be proved wrong of course!

만일 우리가 박지성을 사온다면.. 첼시나 아스날은 신나할것같다.. 난 슬슬.. 멀리 밀네같은 넘부터 최근으로는 젬바, 포츈, 클레베르손, 벨리언 같은 실패사례들이 떠오르기 시작하거든..? ... 물론 내가 틀리기를 바라지만..
If Park's that good and everybody knows about him then how on earth do we pick him up for just 3 million? Surely PSV would hold out for a lot more than that and there would be plenty of bidders?

박지성이 정말 그렇게 대단하고 다들 그에대해 그리 잘알고있다면 당췌 어떻게 우리가 걔를 3M에 사올수있다는거지? 분명 PSV는 더받아낼려고 붙잡고있을것이고.. 그럼 곧 경쟁자들이 나타나겠지?
Looks like they're really going for him and it's a shrewd move. As soon as Chelskov went for Essien he was a no go. Park has got all the attributes that SAF likes: hard-working, fast, loyal etc. He's at a perfect age (24) and best of all he's affordable.

이거 진짜같은데? 그렇다면 정말 통찰력있는 영입이야. 첼시가 에시앙 잡으려고 시도한 그순간부터 에시앙 영입은 불가능해진거고.. 그래도 박지성은 엄청 빠릿빠릿하고 빠르고 성실한데다 24살이라는 나이도 딱이고, 무엇보다도 팀이 뭘요구하든 감당할수 있는 선수거든.
